Taco Bell announced Thursday that several new menu items are going national and two new iterations of the chain’s sought-after Mexican Pizza are in test.

Beginning on Dec. 22, fans across the country can score $2 Grilled Chicken Burritos in two flavors: Salsa Verde and Chipotle Ranch. Both feature a warm flour tortilla filled with grilled marinated chicken and seasoned rice.

The Salsa Verde Grilled Chicken Burrito also includes reduced-fat sour cream, a blend of cheddar, mozzarella and pepper jack cheeses and green chile sauce. The Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito boasts crunchy tortilla strips, shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar, diced tomatoes and avocado ranch and creamy chipotle sauce.

Also returning for a limited national run is the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito; it goes for $3.49. And Electric Strawberry Freezes join the lineup nationwide. The frozen slushy drink comes in blue raspberry or wild cherry blended with a sour strawberry swirl. During Happier Hour from 2-5 p.m., customers can get a 16-ounce size for $1 instead of the usual $2.99.

Devotees of Taco Bell’s Mexican pizza are in for a big treat—provided they live in Omaha, Neb. or Oklahoma City. The chain is testing two new variations of the cult favorite in those locations only.

Omaha is getting the Triple Crunch Mexican Pizza with “even more to love,” according to the promo. It’s made with three crispy flour tortilla shells, twice the beans and seasoned beef and toppings of pizza sauce, tomatoes and a melted three-cheese blend.

The Oklahoma City version—Cheesy Jalapeno Mexican Pizza—delivers more cheese and more spice. It starts with two crispy flour shells and is also layered with beans, seasoned beef, tomatoes and melted three-cheese blend, but is then topped with nacho cheese sauce and jalapeno slices.

Back east in Charlotte, N.C., three more $2 burritos are in test. These include a Chicken Enchilada Burrito, Chicken Poblano Caesar Burrito and Cheesy Chipotle Chicken Burrito.

And here’s a tempting teaser for Mexican Pizza fans. Taco Bell hinted to “keep watching for more slices of Mexican Pizza news to kick off in 2023.”
